Texas Textured Walls

Often times when I mention the term "wall paper" to a client, the response I get is a combination of goosebumps and a "you've-got-to-be-kidding me" look.  But I wholeheartedly believe that "Wall covering never went out....it was just went in hibernation for awhile."  I've been blessed to have seen some of the most beautiful wall coverings that are fresh, durable, and nothing like your grandparents retro looking patterns.

However, there's one big hurtle to overcome when it comes to selecting wall covering in Texas....textured walls.  Everyone's got them!  A wall covering can not be applied to a textured wall (or ceiling).  The surface has to be floated out and smoothed in order to apply a fabulous roll or two beautiful paper.  Not too much of a big deal, but definitely an added expense and sometimes something that could have been prevented.

So, if you are planning on a remodel or thinking about building a new house, be conscientious about what you might want on your walls and ceilings. Here's a list of great spaces for wall coverings....

*Powder Bathrooms
*Laundry Rooms
*Studies
*Children's Bedrooms
*Kitchens
*Sunrooms
*Backs of Bookshelves are great covered in a texture!

If you're interested in some wall covering, feel free to make an appointment to stop by our studio and look through out fabulous selections!

This is so cool--I forgot how much warmth a good wall covering can add...plus- easier to care for than a faux finish...I'm guessing.
