Style Trend 3: Getting in touch with nature
Gone are the days of museum styled homes, décor today is getting a little more in touch with Mother Nature.

Fabrics with botanical prints, natural wood finishes, and accessories like corals, shells and driftwood sculptures are popping up all over. The mix of these natural elements adds to a “collected over time” look.

Accessories taken from the earth are beautiful accents to any room- crystals, geodes, wood sculptures, and even insect collections are adorning side tables, bookcases and mantles.

Botanical prints either bright and lively or simple and muted are great additions to a space. Throw pillows with these bright images are an easy way to add color to a space.

Several furniture companies have introduced new finishes that look like beautiful natural driftwoods or antiques. Woods with hints of light blues, grays, whites and distressing are beautiful when combined with brown wood tones, stone finishes and different tones of metals.
