Staging your house to sell is so important. It will sell your house faster and for more money. The trick is to think about what a potential buyer might think about your house.
The first impression is critical for a potential buyer.

Make sure to make a good first impression right when he or she pulls up by power washing the siding, taking care of your yard (trimming, weeding, watering, etc.), washing front windows, and repainting where needed. Also important is having clear, easy to read house numbers.
The most cost effective thing you can do for your house is to clean it. Clean everything...floors, blinds, closets, counters, etc.

A decluttered house shows the potential buyer that there is plenty of storage and allows them to see the features in the room instead of your clutter.

Make sure the house appeals to all buyers by having neutral wall colors.
