My name is Kaitlyn Huddleston, and I am Cindy’s new intern! I am 22 years old and I’m from Branson Missouri. Branson is a small town with a big heart and, it is a blessing to be from such a wonderful community. Branson is place where everyone knows everyone, and the Ozark Mountains are as wonderful as the people.
I just finished my 4th year at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where I am a major in Interior Design. At UofA I enjoyed being a member of the Chi Omega sorority where I have made friends for life with amazing young women.
In addition to my great friends, my family has been a constant source of support and inspiration. My mother Teresa and father Tim are my heros and I hope to be as wonderful as they are when I grow up. My brothers Corey (20) and Bryce (16) are fun and entertaining guys. My sister Erin (19) is my best friend and a great source of encouragement.
I love to be creative and I have always loved being crafty. Anywhere from creating Christmas ornaments to making my own jewelry. My most recent love is sewing; I have made pillows, curtains, and some of my own clothing.
There is nothing better than the search for a great vintage find. I love to hunt thrift stores, flea markets, and antique stores for a really cool one-of-a-kind piece of furniture, jewelry, clothing, or accessory. It is a really fun way to have unique stuff!
I am really excited to be in Houston for the summer, and especially excited to be interning at By Design Interiors!
