Meet Amber

Meet Amber

My name is Amber and I have been working with Cindy for over two years now and I can honestly say, I love my job!

Often when I say that I am an interior designer, the response I get is, “Wow, how exciting!” They are absolutely right! Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of hard work involved, but it is a profession that you must have a passion for and I must admit – I am in love with interior design.

I think I always wanted to be an interior designer, but didn’t realize it until later in life. I worked at a pharmacy during my high school years and usually did all of their seasonal displays. One day Lucas, now my husband, came to pick me up for lunch and told me that my “Back to School” display was incredibly creative. I was astounded that he considered my display to be creative, because I thought anyone would have done the same thing. His continued encouragement led me to explore my passion for aesthetics.

Cindy and I have a saying, “It’s good to be us!” We are fortunate to have a career that allows us to seek out the most beautiful things from around the world. We get to appreciate all different kinds of styles and forms. It’s this passion for our craft that makes me notice the set instead of the action during a movie (much to my husband’s chagrin). Often I will say something like, “oohhh…did you see that shower” during the climatic moment of the movie when the antagonist is creeping up behind their victim.

Though it may seem strange to others, the truth is we can’t help but notice the interesting and clever things we see all around us. Magazine pictures are eye candy for us. Great ideas spark our imaginations and we translate those wonderful ideas in various ways.

I wake up each morning with excitement and anticipation for what the day holds. For the month of February, I must celebrate my love of design!

XOXO, Amber

I love how creative and goal oriented. I am a little of both, but do not think I even compare. It is a joy to have such an amazing person as my future sister-in-law. Good luck with all! Love you!

"I wake up each morning with excitement and anticipation for what the day holds." - Not many people can say that about their job/career. It is clear that you have found your "calling" and it is a joy to watch you work. You and Cindy compliment each other very well!
