Mark your calenders today for the 25th Annual AIA Sandcastle Competition in Galveston Texas on June 4, 2011. Do it now! This is one of the most fun events in the Houston area and it's a great opportunity to spend a weekend away with your family. Each year By Design Interiors participates with the Greater Houston Homebuilders Association in the competition for the greatest sandcastle.
The competition takes places on June 4th beginning at 8:30am. At 3pm, the competition is over and the judging takes place. Although teams only have 6.5 hours to create their sandcastles, this event takes months of planning and hundreds of volunteers from sand sculptors to water fetchers to mustache wearing babes!
