The next few blogs are going to focus on lighting and lighting control. Although light fixtures can be awesome and stylish - their function is just as important as the way they look. Lighting has come a long ways in a short period of time and the company Lutron is in the forefront of lighting control and design.
Recently, the ladies of By Design took a trip to the Lutron Experience Center in Fort Lautdrdale, FL to learn more about what these products can do. The products Lutron offers help remove 'wall acne' or all of those unsightly switch plates and reduce your lighting control to one single and small plate.
Lutron's products also enable you to place all of your lighting (including lamps) on dimmers (don't I always say to put your lights on dimmers?). Then you can manipulate your lighting and create lighting 'scenes.' So, with the push of a button, your room is ready for a party. Press another button and your space is ready to watch TV, etc.
Better yet - if you've seen the iPhone commercials where they control lights can be turned off with a phone- this is the stuff!
