Last week, the ladies of By Design Interiors, Inc. had an incredible presentation regarding new technologies involved with lighting, sound, and security from the people of Lutron. Can you believe it that all of those things can be controlled from an iPhone! There are so many things worth knowing about but I'll start with one of the coolest innovations we learned about: a speaker system called "Live-Wall." I can't even count how many times a set of speakers on a wall has broken my heart. They just don't live well with a fine piece of art or beautifully crafted case piece of furniture!
Live-Wall is a speaker system where the speakers are embedded inside of the wall cavity and....can be painted over to blend in perfectly with the wall! Imagine surround sound without seeing a single speaker. The speaker is specially designed to be minimally effected by movement, humidity, etc. and provide amazing sound quality. I wish I could show you pictures of them....but you can see them!
