Open, airy and comfortable is a feel that I like to evoke in the homes that I design! If my design looks great but doesn't function or the family isn't comfortable in the space than I didn't do my job very well.
Creating a layered looks with subtle pattern and a variety of texture will create interest while still feeling comfortable.
This living room has a variety of textures from the rug to the blue velvet couch to blanket and pillows. The other thing I like about this room is all the natural light in the room. Light is SO important in any design I do but especially important if creating an open, airy feel.
Warm woods and comfortable, clean line furniture will aid in the comfortable feel of your room.
