For those of us who have several kids ruling our roost, we all know how different each of their personalities can be. One child loves toxic shades of blue, while another is more subtle in fairy pink land. One way to connect these drastically different spaces is through their bathrooms. Check out th bathrooms below where the same tile was used in each space but played out in a completely different way.

A standard 12x12 procelain tile was used in each bathroom; in Bathroom 1, we cut the tile into a 6x12 and inserted a stone mosaic in each vertical seam.

In Bathroom 2, the same 12x12 procelain was accented with the stone mosaic in a different way- a focal inset around the plumbing and a used on the shower floor added some individuality.

In the third bathroom, the stone mosaic was used to create a stone rug on the bathroom floor while the same 12x12 porcelain still serves as the field tile.
By using the same materials (granite, tile and accent mosaic), all of the bathrooms are cohesively connected. But by using the same materials in different ways, each girl got a bathroom uniquely all her own.
