I knew I loved Hickory Chair even before I spent three days touring their factory. They are one of the last examples of great American craftsmanship and they exhibit this quality to the highest degree. Their handcrafted furniture is the type you pass on to your children and your children’s children. Now you’re probably thinking it must all be heavy, traditional and furniture like your grandmother’s but Hickory Chair consists of styles ranging from traditional, through transitional and into contemporary.

As I walked through the factory watching the craftsmen hand make these beautiful items, I was astounded at the care and attention given to every detail.
Recently, Hickory Chair began an initiative to create an “Online Design Center” where you can customize pieces of their furniture on their website. The Design Center allows you to take a furniture piece and change almost everything about it-- leg styles, upholstery, wood finishes, detailing, and more.

Although the Design Center cannot show all of the endless possibilities Hickory Chair offers, it is a great place to begin looking for inspiration. Every day the company is adding more furniture pieces to the Online Design Center in hopes to one day include every item they create.
