Family Photos

Julie Floyd, founder of Classic Kids Photography gave some great tips to Traditional Homes in the October issue, on how to take a good family photo.

I really like her photography because she tries to capture the essence of who the person/kid is.

Some of her tips include getting a black-and-white photo taken.  "It is simple and timeless, while colors can feel dated," Floyd explain.

There is no need to try to dress up the photo with props or bold patterned clothing.
Children are great the way they are!

To get that great "one of a kind" expression on their face never say "cheese".  Otherwise you may get a fake or forced smile.
