Displaying Your Collections

Do you have a collection?  Is it displayed so that it looks more like a pile of stuff gathering dust rather than an amazing collection?  Here are some great ideas that I found on how to display collections to make them show better and be more exciting to look at!!!

When displaying anything it is always better to group similar items. A good example of this idea is the pictures and globes. The pictures are organized on the wall with similar frames of different sizes which creates more interest. Globes are also group so that all can be seen by putting taller globes towards the back.

Not all collection of things have to relate to one another like the travel theme above.  Below there is a collection of different keepsakes that all have the white frames or shadow boxes.  The white frames are the common element of this collection and ties the whole wall together.

When displaying collections another great way to accomplish this is by using vertical space.  These plates create a great focal point above the bed!

This collection of sea shells is displayed in a very unique way with this antique piece.
