Decoration is composition. I spend a lot of time perfecting this in spaces- especially entry tables, mantels and bookcases. There areas can take drama- and are not in the way of everyday life- so a static composition works here.
Use these opportunities to relate whom you are- your values, sense of humor and priorities. Its about placement and details, scale, harmony, and balance. When you get it right- you know it!
