Color Inspiration...Blue

If your looking to bring more color into your room, blue is a great color to choose.  Depending on the shade of blue it can be calming for a bedroom, or lively, sophisticated, or luxurious,  for a living, dining, kitchen or kids room.

Traditional Home suggests this color,
"Drawing Room Blue" from Farrow & Ball,
for a DiningRoom because of the rich color,
perfect for a candlelight dinner.

"Montpelier Wedgewood" from Valspar is good for a Great Room,
says Traditional Home,
because of the punch it will give in a large scale.

A Man's Office calls for "Commodore" from Sherwin-Williams
because of the deep masculine shade.

Traditional Home says "Mesmerize" from Behr Paints
is the perfect color for a bathroom.

I agree Sharon, they look far better with a lihtegr handed glaze on them. I am still getting the hang of 'glazing', especially on flat surfaces where it seems that I get lines in my finish. I wish we had the products that you can get in the US for glazinf...I just use a gel wood stain watered down, but I always have to poly over the top of it to make it stay put. Kristine at the Painted Hive mixes her wood stain with the poly, I must try that but I am a little nervous that it might not wipe off if I get it wrong!xx Karen
