African Baskets; New Designs

A few months ago, the women of By Design had a presentation on a wonderful organization helping the women and children of Tanzania. Village Schools International encourages the people of Tanzania to make beautiful baskets and provides them an outlet to sell their creations. By Design is currently working with Village Schools International to be one of these outlets to sell these amazing handcrafted items. Several baskets have already been sold to clients and to some of the designers!

In a few short weeks, we are going to be receiving newly designed baskets...many of them with lids! The baskets are made from grass and range in all sizes, colors and designs. No two baskets are the same and many come with a piece of paper identifying the basket's maker.
