39 Days 'til Christmas

If you haven't already made the trip up to your attic to dust off your boxes of holiday decorations....it will probably show up soon on your 'to do' list.  Most of us have been collecting ornaments and other decor throughout our entire lives and love the memories that each ornament might carry with it.

But its understandable to want to break the mold on our traditions and spruce up holiday decorations.  An easy way to incorporate some new ornaments and styles into your decor is to set up a secondary tree.  One in a separate room of your home with its own color palette, styles and meaning.

A great place to check out some great holiday decor and gather some inspiration for your own home or office is For All Occasions. (where these amazing photos were taken) Located at 7026 Old Katy Rd. this decor diamond has an incredible showroom and thousands of unique florals and other decor pieces.

Remember: More is more when it comes to holiday decor.  Try layering various sizes of ornaments with lights and holly, berry twigs and other floral stems to create beautiful arrangements for your table, mantle or bookshelves.

Also consider using interesting and non-traditional color palettes like purple and ivory, browns and greens or teal and silver to break away from reds and golds.  All you need is some sparkling twinkle lights and some creativity to get your home ready for the holidays.
