I know I say it a lot, but the best design is always created when a group of people collaborate together.  It is never the work of just one person to create a design masterpiece, but several people with their individual expertise pooling together.  I am often yelling out "3 brains!" when my two assistants and I have created a solution.....together.  Or "4 brains!" or "5 brains!" however many people it took to find a solution.

And its not always professionals in the design field that have the best input; involving each client in the design of their space adds a personal element with knowledge only available from the end user.  The client, designer, builder, project manager and a host of unparallel craftspeople all work together to create a design with a depth of beauty that is as technically sound as it is aesthetically pleasing.

Recently I had a meeting with a new contractor I am working with and he provided me with the best quote to summarize my philosophy.  Proverbs 15:22 "Plans fail for lack of council, but with many advisors they succeed."
